Introduction to Genomic Medicine

An introduction to the science and clinical applications of genomics and related “omics”, including epigenomics.

You’ll gain an understanding of the origins and applications of Genomic Medicine, including important terminology that underlies the foundation for learning.

Learning Objectives:

  • The history and science behind genomics and the other “omics” fields, including epigenomics.
  • The difference between whole genome vs SNP testing, pros and cons of each.
  • The current status of genomics in clinical practice
  • How genomics can be used in clinical practice, with case histories to illustrate.
